An engagement is company to company, contracted between two entities with no employment relationship created. The cost of permanent senior headcount in Hong Kong has risen: since 1 May 2025 employers can no longer offset Mandatory Provident Fund contributions against Severance or Long Service Payments, adding a long-tail liability to every full-time hire that only the government subsidy scheme partly relieves.
